Summertime fun is closer than you imagined with the new Discover Summer Package, that includes: the Tree Adventure, Discovery Ride, tree seedling, lunch at the Timber Dining Room, and apple pie or wine tasting at the Apple House. Caliente Festival

Wine Under the Pines

Kick back and enjoy a casual summer celebration of wine, craft beer, cuisine and music from Southeast Nebraska. Take a Tree Adventure Discovery Ride to the vineyard along with a wine and cheese basket picnic. Spread a blanket under the trees at Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard for a full day of music, barbeque and flavors from six vineyards and three craft brewers. Discovery Ride

Be the first to uncover the secrets and the surprises of the forest. Ride under the canopy of a giant red oak leaf. Embark on a one-hour, three-mile journey through the woodland trails across the historic 260-acre Arbor Day Farm. Read more.
Adventure Hike: Nature Photography

Discover inspirational images along with professional photographer tips during a one-hour backwoods hike with guide and photographer Tammy Partsch. Bring your camera
and leave with nature photography that will "take their breath away!" Includes bottled water. $5 per person, plus admission to the Tree Adventure.

Adventure Hike: Creeking
June 28, July 19, 26, Aug. 2, 30 - 11 AM
Who cares if your feet get wet - this is summer fun! With a true sense of adventure, your guide leads a one-hour trek into the backwoods and along South Table Creek.
Relax in a quiet clearing or splash in the water. For this moderate hike, rugged footwear that can get wet is recommended. Includes bottled water. $5 per person, plus admission to the Tree Adventure.

Adventure Hike: Birding
Aug. 16, 11 am
One red-headed woodpecker. Two black-capped chickadees. Three American goldfinches. Take a one-hour hike with an expert birding guide and discover the thousands of birds that live here. In addition to the guided Adventure Hike, Birding Trails are open daily for unguided exploration. Adventure Hikes include bottled water. $5 per person, plus admission to the Tree Adventure. U-Pick Gardens Open

Wine Tasting
Daily
Last fall's harvest of red and white grapes has finished its delicious journey from vine to wine. Join us for Arbor Day Farm wine tasting of reds, whites and sweet fruits. Daily at the new Apple House Wine Tasting Room.
Fridays and Saturdays, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, at Lied Lodge. Take home a bottle or case.
